Pythagoras – Your partner for smart KYC, AML & KYS Compliance Automation

Pythagoras is launched. Prior to that, professionals with decades of experience in banking worked together with IT experts to develop Pythagoras solutions for compliance and client management. From the outset, the goal was to create a modular all-in-one system that guarantees the highest security and confidentiality of client data and makes it easier to meet all compliance requirements. World-Check provides the necessary reference data for effective risk management.

The Swiss Official Gazette of Commerce (SOGC) is added as a second reference database. With the new eSOGC screening solution, electronically published contents can be matched with customer data and business relationships.

The Milan-based company Berma becomes a Pythagoras distribution partner. It had already specialized in IT applications and systems for the banking, insurance and financial sectors.

Pythagoras continues to become more international. A service and research center is established in Cape Town, South Africa.

Pythagoras expands its solution portfolio to include native character screening, which now recognizes Asian characters in addition to other non-Latin characters. Demand in East Asia grows. An additional service center is established in Hong Kong to best meet this growth.

Dow Jones Factiva provides institutions around the world with high-quality, well-structured data for money laundering and know-your-customer compliance.

Pythagoras reinforces its sales and service network by establishing its Slovenia office. Its focus is on software development, testing and third-level support.

In addition to the headquarters in Zug, a second Swiss Pythagoras location opens in Geneva to better serve French-speaking customers.

Pythagoras launches the internal programme “Fit for Future” in spring 2021. The company founder Werner Blum puts the operational management of the company into younger hands. His successor as CEO since the end of May 2021 is Hubert Krattinger.

Pythagoras is beta testing New Release 3.61 and developing further module enhancements.

Fit for future entails another change in management. CO-CEO and Chairman of the Board is Fabian Finke is responsible for Human Resources and Finance, Business Development and Marketing and shares the CEO seat with Co-CEO & CPO Stefan Benz, former CEO of Avaloq India.
Hubert Krattinger takes on his new role as Chief Customer Officer for the Account Management and Client Services business units.
